You asked me what do I think about the return of the Saddamist Baathists. Perhaps I did not answer you with sufficient clarity. The vast majority of the Iraqi people would rather die and go through hell, and would fight to the death even if that meant total destruction of everthing; rather than see the return of Ssddamists. The Americans and the whole world should not have any doubt about that. The support for the American operatin freedom was entirely for having deposed these Saddamists. If they try to undo their own achievemnt, all the goodwill towards them will disapear and they are not going to get any gratitude from the criminal Saddamists either.

I have checked your site periodically, like someone coming to a park to see if my most well liked Iraqi is sitting on the bench and is going to bless me with his wise oratory.
I know your world turned upside down and you and your family have had huge adjustments to make in your new environment and that takes huge amounts of time and energy.
Many a time I clicked away from your blog in selfish sadness, with seeing no post from you, however, always wondering how you were doing in your new environment and what your thoughts were about the political and economic path that Iraq is going down.
What has been the hardest adjustment in your new world for you and your family?
Also good to see many commenters from your first post have returned with all of the diverse thoughts and ideas and oppinions. Makes for most interesting debates.
I am delighted that you are blogging again but my heart is heavy for you because of all the sorrow and horror you seen and have had to endure in Iraq.
Your recent posts show your concern and wounds are deep and l am concerned that, please.... for all that our troops and their families and the hurt and horrors that the Iraqis have endured and are all are still enduring that the powers that be in Washington and Iraq will not close and relock the hard won open door.
What a terrible tragedy for the whole world that would be.
Iraqis must unite in a common goal that is good for all, how they do it is their riddle, but it is the only way forward, to stand together as Iraqis, not one tribe or sect warlording over another.
It still amazes me and I have to commend Iraqis that refuse to cowed and come out to vote, bless their bravery!

Further thoughts
America has freedom that our ancestors fought for in our DNA, and it makes my blood boil when immigrants come here and try to bend those freedoms.
One thing I see in America that makes my blood boil is a huge amount of immigrants that come here and exploit our freedoms and some of our stupid laws, and get government money and insist on keeping their own culture that clashs with our freedoms, and they insist on using their own language which just alienates us further.
They refuse to learn English..which would allow them to communicate and persue a higher education and better job opportunities. They live in their own enclave and never blend into the colorful soup pot that binds us together, but stay a hard pebble in the pot.
If this keeps up we will become Balkenized a clash of cultures and a fractured society, made up of sects and tribes, without the unification of common values and goals.
How will we communicate if we do not all speak the same same language. I would never be so stupidly arrogant as to go live in another country and demand that whole country bend to my language and culture.

WE fought to make it safe for Islamists, didn't we? Isn't that why we are standing by while ethnic and religious cleansing of Christians is taking place today? The Iraqi people should have been reduced to 5th world status and left to their barbaric roots which they can be denied only with a boot firmly on their necks. Ten years of our experience and what came before should make that clear to anyone not blinded by political correctness. The decent folk fled. Only the sheep and those who would slaughter them remain. After ten years, the character of the Iraqi people is clearly evident. And their fellow Muslims are no better as they specialize in declaring victim status while victimizing.
Apologies if this seems like an advertisement. I'm just ticked off about innocent people dying in Iraq due to being sold fraudulent bomb detectors by unscrupulous UK companies.
